London City wedding

"The best wedding planner, EVER!

Not sure where to start to say all the amazing things we have to say about Natasha/Pearline Events, who helped plan our wedding and made our vision come to life, exceeded all expectations, so we’ll just start by saying a huge THANK YOU!

Her professionalism and passion was clear from our first consultation with her, and as soon  as we hung up the call, we both said WE NEED HER, and I’m so glad we went ahead and booked her. I will absolutely be recommending Natasha to anyone who even utters “engagement”, “wedding”, or “party”. Everyone needs Pearline Events in their life.

She helped source crucial suppliers at a dry hire venue, listening to our requests and providing us with various options to choose from, all of which met our requests, and therefore still felt really personal to us, whilst adding her own touches of creativity. Natasha did so much vendor management in to the run up to the wedding too which took all our stresses away.

Natasha was also the ULTIMATE on the day having to prepare the same space three times for the ceremony, wedding breakfast, and evening reception. She pulled it off without a hitch, and everyone commented how amazing she had been, and how at ease she made everyone feel, leaving us, our family and friends to enjoy the day. She really felt like a friend, and supported us throughout the day... get her on board as soon as you can. You won’t regret it.  5 stars doesn’t feel enough!

Amir & Nadia

Amir and Nadia booked my partial planning service, they wanted some help to bring their vision for a wedding . With Nadia being Arabic and groom Amir being Persian they wanted to represent both their  cultures.  I was thrilled to be involved with the design and planning.

The venue St Ethelburga's is a hidden gem in the middle of the City of London. It provided the perfect location for this special wedding. Nadia and Amir opted for natural, relaxed wedding design with neutral colours of ivory, soft brown and touch of green. They wanted to showcase the venue's beautiful features, particularly the venue's stunning stained glass window. They had foliage garlands lined each table. Candles were used throughout their decor to create just the right ambience.

They had a traditional Persian wedding ceremony, led by an Haji which incorporated their Sofreh Aghd with all of its symbolic items. What is a Sofreh Aghd? The concept of a Persian Sofreh Aghd is a tradition with over 2500 years of history. The Sofreh is a large ornamental piece of beautiful cloth spread out over a table. "Sofreh" means - spread and "Aghd" means ceremony. The spread is a central feature of the Persian wedding ceremony and contains many items, all to symbolise different qualities that the couple would hope to bring into their new life together.

During the ceremony, a piece of fabric is held over the bride and groom’s heads while they are sitting at the Sofreh, by a few unmarried female relatives. Two sugar cones are softly ground together above the bride and grooms heads by a happily married female relative to shower them in sweetness. It was such a beautiful ceremony, filled with emotion and tradition.

Once the ceremony finished, guests enjoyed drinks and canapes in the venue's lovely outdoor courtyard, with live music performed by a harpist. They then had a Persian feast before dancing the night away with a brilliant DJ who combined their Arabic, Persian, R 'n' B, English music choices.  In the evening they had a tasty buffett of treats.

Their delightful day was the epitome of a chic, London City wedding, combining their Arabic and Persian cultures, and we spent months planning and finalising the details. These two are so incredible (and they had the best family and friends). Their wedding was joy-filled and it will always have a special place in my heart.
